E. Morris Miller's Australian Literature from its Foundation to 1935 (1940): 652 comments: 'The story of Too Easily Jealous is based upon women's jealousy and concerns an Indian officer and army society; Australian scenes mainly in Sydney, with Tasmanian contacts.' Margaret C. Murphy's Women Writers and Australia (1988): 29 describes it as 'Set in North Queensland. Wife accused of infidelity by a jealous husband leaves him and returns to England. She marries for a second time when she hears that he is dead, but he reappears.'
