  • The poem is prefaced by the following extract from the NZ Herald, 14 May 1994: 'It could only happen in Britain. Harrods of Knightsbridge, London's snootiest department store, is charging customers £1 ($2.63) a time to use four new super-luxurious lavatories. Less affluent shoppers may continue to use, free, the second-class dunnies elsewhere in the store.'
