B.H.P. is attempting to ship pig-iron for munitions to Japan for their war against China, but is challenged by waterside workers and shipping crews who refuse to load the ships in protest.
The play was banned by the Minister for Agriculture, Mr Reid. Despite this, it was performed in the Domain, and subsequently five members of the New Theatre League were charged and fined £5 for taking part contrary to a by-law.
