Notes

  • Also includes a review of Tides of Youth by New Zealander Nelle Scanlon, Encounter Bay: The Miniature Naples of Australia by C. R. Hodge, and Back in the Return by 'Huw Menai'.
  • Editor's note (in response to Palmer's observations of similarities between 'Menai' and R. H. Long): Mr. Menai is forty-eight years old and the past thirty-eight years of his life have been spent in the South Wales coalfield, working in and about mines. A recent message states that "the long-continued unemploymeny in the coal industry has made times very difficult for him, as for thousands of others."
