AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'As we move through life, we change, and so do our friendships. We grow closer to some people, others we drift apart from.

'Nina receives an unexpected call from Janet, the mother of her friend Isabelle. Isabelle has just died in a car accident, and in her anguish Janet needs the support of her daughter's oldest friend. She doesn't seem to be aware that the two young women were no longer close. As Nina does her best to fulfil the role asked of her, she tries to understand just what it was that caused the rift: at first slight, now forever.

'"Blisters" is a meditation upon the shifts and changes in friendships, and how we may try to cushion ourselves from memories and experiences that are too painful for us.'
