Notes

  • Includes a photograph of Harris with her three daughters.
  • Author's note: 'Tir-an-Oig', the home of Pixie O'Harris, must be the perfect house for children to live in. A koala with a candle sees you up the stairs to bed, two mermaids and a seahorse make bath-time exciting, and the babes in the woods sleep peacefully over the stove accompanied by three fantastic elves busy cooking a stew. Every room is full of rich and simulating colour, much of which is provided by Pixie O'Harris's own work, by Mary Edwards's portraits of Pixie and her youngest daughter Megan, and a remarkable oil by Pixie's father, G. F. Harris, a well-known portrait painter.
