AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Fictionalised account, set partly in actual events, of an Australian Boer War soldier and the girl he left behind. The soldier sailed from Newcastle to South Africa in November 1899 on the ship the Langton Grange and returned to Australia with the Victoria Cross.
