Notes

  • Editor's note: Week by week for many years, 'Sunbeams' (Sunday Sun, Sydney) has published the saga of Bib and Bub, and magical Tiggy Touchwood. Their appeal to children is as certain today as when May Gibbs first touched the gumnuts with the brush of her fantasy.

Marie Marshall ('Cousin Marie' of 'Sunbeams') speaks with authority on May Gibbs' art. She has watched it over the years, and knows from the children's own comments just what their reactions are.
