  • Editor's note: Between November 21, 1945, and February 20, 1946, the Tariff Board held a public inquiry in Sydney and Melbourne. It was initiated by the Federal Minister for Customs to investigate the working of the publishing industry in Australia and to submit to the Government recommendations for any assistance deemed to be needed. The Board's report was tabled in Parliament on June 6, 1947.
