Wee One, stolen by an old toad, escapes marriage to Toad's son and a life in the marsh through the intervention of the riverbank creatures. Her kindness to a swallow is repaid when he helps her escape from her next betrothal to a mole and flies her to a summer palace where she meets a prince of the flowers and lives happily ever after.
