This is a selection of five short stories, each involving a conversation between a poet and two children, Roma and Margaret Joan. Each time the poet tells the children a story with a religious theme (usually a story relating to the life of Christ).
Notes
'I am convinced that there is no writer in the English Language who, in stories about children, shows such delicacy of treatment and exquisite artistry' (from the Foreword by Eustace Boylan).
