Published under the auspice of the Elwood/St Kilda Neighbourhood Learning Centre Inc., Roomers is a community based magazine where 'almost all contributors ...are local residents or former residents of rooming houses, private hotels or supported residential services in St. Kilda , South or Port Melbourne and Elwood [Victoria]. The Roomers Project recruits local writers, artists, photographers, journalists and cartoonists to work as volunteer mentors with contributors.'
