AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The author argues that the selection of poems in John Kinsella's Peripheral Light: Selected and New Poems (W.W. Norton, 2003) by the American critic Harold Bloom has not been successful '... it introduces the work of an essential Australian poet to American readers, but does not present precisely what is essential about that poet.'
