Described by Chaplin Norman Lindsay (1969): 'This play, which the authors first intended calling 'Family Circle' follows the plot of the novel fairly closely, and much of the dialogue is lifted verbatim from the book ... It was written in 1932. I have no record of its public performance' (p.31).
