AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Captain Brown of the Martian starcruiser 109 faced two problems at the Battle of Bellatrix.

'One was Ninta, a crippled Xenoid battlecruiser lying in ambush for the Rigel convoy.

'The other was Cyleen De Gerch, his new second-in-command. She was headstrong, inexperienced, and the product of a military genetics experiment.

'She was also barely sixteen years old.'
