'Struck by Lightning is the life story of Garry Lynch told in his own words. Garry Lynch is the father of Anita Cobby, a young nurse who was brutally abducted, raped and murdered by five men in Sydney, in 1986. Two days after his daughter's murder Garry was catapulted into the public arena. Ever since he has shown how good can come from tragedy.' (Introduction, p.ix.)
