Nicholas Hasluck records in diary-form his impressions of Papua and New Guinea during his visit there in 1963. Hasluck accompanied his father, Sir Paul Hasluck. At the time of the trip Hasluck was a law student at the University of Western Australia and his father was the Minister for Territories in the Australian government.
