AbstractHistoryArchive Description

In this work, 'the kingdom is ruled by King Kangaroo. The kangaroos are dressed in the woven bark cloth of the kurrajong tree, and wear cabbage-tree hats. Dingoes draw their carts, bandicoots are used to gather the nut grass, and the kangaroos ride emu horses' (Oxford Companion to Australian Children's Literature 25).
