This volume resulted from the German-Australian Poetry Project conducted during the 2003 Berlin Poesiefestival. The project paired the following Australian and German poets:
Joanne Burns / Ulf Stolterfoht, Judith Beveridge / Sabine Scho, Luke Davies / Uwe Kolbe, Robert Gray / Joachim Sartorius, J.S. Harry / Gerhard Falkner, Anthony Lawrence / Sabina Naef, Emma Lew / Mirko Bonné, Les Murray / Margitt Lehbert, Dorothy Porter / Kerstin Hensel, Gig Ryan / Kathrin Schmidt, Peter Skrzynecki / Ursula Krechel, John Tranter / Peter Waterhouse and Samuel Wagan Watson / Raphael Urweider.
