'Home Fictions is a collaborative work exploring the mythologies of home and the elusive idea of "homeland". The performers play with the sensations, memories, and fantasies of home using the extra-ordinary language of circus. As they inhabit suspended living spaces that are the focal points of our lives, the flying kitchen table is a site of domestic dreaming, and the couch that won't remain fixed to the floor is capable of swallowing not just the lost remote but whole lives as well. The billowing curtains of childhood memory are scaled and twisted into new shapes with bodies entwined. Borders are blurred and what exists underneath - the layers of land, memory and history on which our homes are built - emerges from the shadows and is given expression.'
