News, comment and sections on theatre and social and general interest. This 'little' magazine was started by Johnnie Sanders and Davison Symmons, who, together with Donald Macdonald, and David Maling, were employed by The Argus. However, a rule was introduced that no-one on the staff of The Argus was permitted to write for any other journal.

Sanders, Symmons, Macdonald and Maling continued writing for The Argus and under the by-line called Oriel.
