Andare is a beloved folklore character of Sri Lanka. This witty, humorous man has made people laugh through the generations and is supposed to have been a court-jester in days gone by ... Andare stories are full of fun and laughter that make one happier and wiser... This collection of stories recounts a number of events in which Andare plays tricks on everyone ranging from the King to people of his village including his own wife. (Source: Preface of book)
