Back cover states:

She was dark, beautiful . . . and wholly evil. No many could resist Lea Ashcroft . . . no man ever had; except young Doctor John Palmer. And then he became a challenge, something that Lea had to have.

Beyond the door, a wild Twist party was in progress. John turned and looked at her. "Your father said you needed a doctor," he said, suddenly nervous of her.

"I do."

She was close against him, her arms snaking up and around his neck.

"Have you strained your back?"

"I just need you, Jon."

"Where does it hurt?" John stammered.

"Why don't we stop this nonsense," she murmured huskily, "why don't you kiss me, Doctor?"

"Why don't I!"

John sighed, as he covered her mouth with his own and pulled her perfect figure towards him.

***

From a wild and uninhibited Twist party to a small town threatened by rising floodwaters, such is the pattern and tempo of this story, where love, passion and danger walk hand-in-hand.
