Notes

  • Author's note: 'The word Albabinnia was the native name of an Aboriginal woman in a camp at 2000 ft. on Bellenden-Ker. It is a curious coincidence that this euphonious word was also the name of a native woman in Victoria, and appears in a vocbulary of 1842. I have merely used it as a title for the verses.'
