Lost Leichhardt, Archibald Meston , single work correspondence
In this letter to the editor Meston responds to objections to aspects of his biography of Leichhardt in the Christmas Queenslander, raised in correspondence by Mr. Bennett of Victoria and by Mr.Roper, a member of Leichhardt's expedition to Port Essington. Bennett published a long essay detailing his acquaintance with Leichhardt in the Queenslander on 21 November 1891 (p. 979).
