AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Station hands on a Victorian property - ex-convicts - plot to rob the owner and overseer of money recently brought up to buy some cattle. The owner's wife Mary and her sister, Ethel, are left alone with a young boy while he goes to meet the cattle with Thornton, the overseer. Death and injury result from a skirmish that night - Ethel's marksmanship taking its toll. (PB)
