Examines the ways in which limitations of traditional print bibliography, such as printing costs and space, can be overcome in the electronic environment, discussing how the expanded scope for scholarly cross-referencing and annotation and new data models implemented by the AustLit Gateway take bibliography a step further than other literary databases, making possible a 'multi-dimensional' approach to the recording of bibliographic details and posing fresh challenges for the contextualising of Australian literary works.
