Notes

  • Dedication:
    This Book is Dedicated
    To The Memory
    Of
    My Grandson, Will.

He was not with us for long,
But he gave us so much.

    WILLIAM RICHARD GLASSON
    Born 1972 / Died 1982

His bravery during his year long battle with cancer
    earned him the title of

    'The Soldier'

    A little soldier fighting hard
Against a fate that had been writ.
What use? He did inspire us all
    With courage, dignity and grit.
He showed us fortitude and love
    Then had to leave by have no fear;
"We'll meet again old mate and score
The runs you hadn't time for here."
Our loss is great but let's rejoice,
He's found his peace and may I say.
We're so much better, braver folk,
Because 'The Soldier' passed our way.
