Dedication: This book is dedicated to the innocents who lost their lives in the Bali bombings - two hundred and two people from twenty-two countries, including eighty-eight Australians, were killed on the night of 12 October 2002.
This book also recognises those of us who continue to be touched by the tragedy - the one hundred and sixty-eight Australian survivors, of which I am one, our families and support networks, and the families of those who lost loved ones.
I particularly wish to thank the volunteers and medical staff who treated me in those grim days after the bombings - I am forever in your debt.
To my wife Nerissa, whose love and constant support was the driving force behind my recovery, and my family, who have always been there for me and remained strong as ever throughout this amazing year.
