Notes

  • A project of the International Literature Festival Berlin 2001. Thirty-three authors from all over the world were asked to select three poems each, which they thought might provide an inspiration to the city of Berlin. They were then translated into German and published in this anthology, together with the poems in their original languages. Pam Brown and Rodney Hall chose the Australian poems.
  • Translation of German title Die Welt über dem Wasserspiegel: The World above water level. This is a quotation from Laurie Duggan's poem included in the anthology.
  • Contents indexed selectively.
