This conference attempted to streamline information retrieval of Australian material from the vast number of dispersed Australian databases, published bibliographical indexes and separate indexing projects.
Published papers included: John Barnes speaking on a users thoughts on Indexing Periodicals.
Paul Eggert outlined the Austlit Database and Co-operative Literary Indexing.
Wallace Kirsop presented a paper on Recording Book Trade Ephemera.
Chris Tiffin spoke on the Standards and Protocols for Australian Bibliography.
Victor Crittenden spoke on The Atlas (periodical) Index.
