On the Gippsland peninsula two convicts find a haven to recover from their escape. A beautiful woman on horseback crosses their path - Paul Somerville rescuing her from the evil intentions of his companion. Paul is given a place on her father's station as a reward. They fall in love but have to flee her father's anger when they are discovered. From Melbourne they go to Bendigo to make their fortune. (PB)
