The Gold Commissioner's tale narrated while snowed in. A murder in March 1863 in Miller's Flat, N.Z., is mistakenly attributed to Job Johnson who is reprieved by his signature on a jury list. Also tales of the two other buried outside the hut who perished while seeking gold. (PB)
