AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A ship bound from Nova Scotia for Liverpool nearly founders in Nova Scotia in St George's Channel and excess boxes are cast overboard. A young lady's deeds of inheritance etc are included. After falling in love with her cousin, the supposed heir who is unaware of their family relationship, the documents are eventually washed ashore and she is restored to the rightful position. Interesting, in the question of mixed race and her Cinderella treatment by step-relations. (PB)
