  • An undated cutting from The Register indicates that 'Mr Reginald J. Godfrey, a dairy farmer, of Long Flat, Murray Bridge, and a member of the committee of the Royal Society of St George, Murray Bridge Branch, has been awarded a silver medal and diploma in the [English Poetry Society's] Shakespeare Guild competition for the best poem on Shakespeare.'
