AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Recalls a settler in the Port Phillip district who was consistently kind to the Aborigines of the area but erroneously killed 23 of them with poisoned meat left out to kill dingoes. King Billy, the tribal leader, kidnaps the settler's child as revenge and the story of the pursuit of the child and the killing of King Billy concludes the tale. (PB)
