AbstractHistoryArchive Description

This column features a review of Macbeth by James Edward Neild which was staged at a local theatre in Sheffield in 1843. Neilds theatre criticism in England is of interest 'because many of the actors brought their productions to Australia. These reviews may thus give us an idea of the acting styles and even the scenic details of Australian productions.' (The Author)
