Notes

  • Marcus Clarke intended to write a play with the title 'Salome or a Woman's Heart', describing it as a 'Drama in 3 acts', according to Dennis Davison who found a list of characters, outlines of the plot and dialogue among Clarke's papers. Davison completed the play as a comedy and changed the title to Miss Dresden's Revenge.
