AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Account of the American journalist's attempts to get to like cricket, watching Australia play the Marylebone Club in London. Very humorous description of the slowness and decorum of the match to one used to baseball, and the courteous explanations of his neighbour who finally leaves. Australians bowled out, all for 18.
