The digitised copy was once owned by
Ethel Turner, and then by her grand-daughter
Philippa Poole (daughter of Turner's son
Adrian Curlewis). It contains two inscriptions in two different hands. The first reads: 'Philippa Curlewis. Handed down to her as quite a precious book by Nan who knew the artist, D. Souter, & thought a lot of his work. Dec 1942'. The second reads: 'With compliments Ethel Turner from D. Souter 6 Sep 99'.
