Notes

  • The Museum of Brisbane, opening in October 2003, will have 'Bite the Blue Sky: Brisbane Beginnings' as its first exhibition. Vision, a speculative fiction writers group in Queensland, was asked to run a competition among its members for a suitable short story to accompany the theme of the exhibition. Shane Brown won $500 for his story, 'Brisbane 2404'which will be on display at the exhibition. Kate Eltham's story, 'Ruben's Beanstalk', and Chris Quin's story 'The Last Voyage of Vicki-Lyn' were highly commended.
