AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Rose Anthon's voicing of her belief in woman's mission in the world causes Roger Thorpe to change his mind about proposing to her - being afraid of Amazons. An empty year apart teaches Roger that he truly loves her, and Rose that her mission is housekeeping. Conservative little tale with a tiny hint of the variety of women's calling. (PB)
