AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Mutiny disguised but discovered in the Pacific Ocean. A message in a bottle gives details of a mutiny aboard a nearby ship but a chase and boarding of the vessel by a naval war-sloop indicates all is well: the captain, his wife and baby all greeting the boarding party. A finger cut off and caught near a chain plate rouses suspicion - and eventually the captain and his wife are discovered bound below decks, the apparent wife actually a disguised Spanish half-breed ... Action tale; suspense well sustained. (PB)
