Whilst there the young woman inherits £11 000 in diamonds which her lover is to bring out to her. He is apparently murdered en route to the up-country station where they were to meet - but it is later discovered that a feverish dream and the mistaken murder of another traveller have coincided to create an illusion of his death ... coincidence overworked; some promise but focus strays.
