AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Jeremy, aged ten, is very much an only child. His best friend by far is his dog Rudi. Exploring the bush near his Nan's, he finds some puzzling mysteries, and with the help of Minh from Vietnam builds a fort. At first an invader, Minh becomes a good friend and ally in adventures, though Jeremy finds all his sisters and cousins a problem.

'Motherless Jeremy learns from Minh's family how Jesus can be head of a household and understands the sad things in children's lives. Their older friend Mr Savage turns out to be a solver of mysteries and a helper.

'This is a story of developing multicultural friendship, threatened by selfishness and restored after near disaster' (Source: back cover).
