AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The injury of a street-child run over by a carriage brings together the two people she loves. Set in Melbourne: the first part told in the voice of the street child; the second by the beautiful betrayed woman she admires. Includes scenes in the Children's Hospital, and a sketch of the hard life of the child on the streets. Interesting in voice and form but tone conventional. (PB)
