Greta and her young brother Lester live with their parents in a small brown cottage in England, where Lester listen to stories of his idolised Uncle Eric, who died in a tree-felling accident in Australia. One day, when they are playing with an old log, a tiny man appears: he is their Uncle Eric, and he promises to take them to the Summer Land.
