Gilmore is being interviewed by John Walker of Radio Central on the occasion of her 97th birthday. She thanks the many people who sent her telegrams and other messages of congratulations, she acknowledges that many of them are from overseas, she reveals that owing to a lack of energy she is no longer writing or composing poetry and hopes she will not see another birthday.
