Author note: This is a poem that I wrote when I was in Melbourne in 1991 not long after my accident. My balance and my memory were not good, and I was helped by some very nice people at Flinders Street Railway Station. Out of all those thousands of people in Melbourne, only five people helped me and they all were from the country. That says a lot for the city people!
