AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Examines the apparent shift in reader taste towards non-fiction (including essays) and away from fiction. Mordue suggests that non-fiction may be providing greater relevance to readers in reflecting Australian culture. He also argues the case for an improved dialogue between journalism, academia and writers.
